Eight personnel of the South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency have been deployed to dredge up mud in the 200-meter length water channel on Jalan Tegal Parang Utara III, Tegal Parang Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan.

"We also tear down the castings that covered the channel," expressed Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Head, Djaharuddin, Friday (2/26).

According to him, it had been ongoing since three weeks ago and had touched 60 percent.

"It is targeted to be complete in mid-March," he stressed.

After it is done, it i s expected to accommodate rainwater in large quantities when rain poured the area.

"So it will be free from flooding," he stated.
